About Hendomoto // David Henderson
Born in Sydney, Australia in 1981. Always interested in visual arts. I started painting digitally when I was around 15. Graduated Woolooware High School 1999.

In 2000 I enrolled at the Computer Graphics College for a Diploma course in Animation. I completed the course in 2002 with a High Distinction (95%+) and went on to tutor students while getting ready to find a job. I entered my work in the CGC end of year student competition and won several categories including Best Overall.

Shortly after I was hired by Ambience Entertainment where I became a Junior 3D artist. I learnt alot from the amazing artists there at the time and moved on to have larger roles. I left Ambience in late 2003 to pursue some of my own work. From 2004-2007 I worked at various Animation houses in Sydney, taking time off between jobs to work on my short film. At the moment my short film is on hold, while I pursue my dream of living & working in Japan for a year or two, while I'm still young!

I'm primarily a 3D animator/artist. I was originally trained in 3D Studio Max and used it in production for several years. I then taught myself Maya and have been using it ever since. I also use Photoshop, Digital Fusion and After Effects very regularly.
In 2003 I started taking classes to speak Japanese at a Language School called Berlitz. In 2006 I took the Japanese Proficiency test and passed level 3. I'm continuing to learn more, and hope to pass higher levels in the future.

I've developed a love for photography in the last few years. I'm still very much an amateur but I really enjoy it. I find that I can use what I've learnt in animation to improve my photography, and what I learn in photography improves my animation.
